Spectacular: 192.000 CHF, more than €175.000 at the St Moritz auction for the first eClassic simulator 

The eClassic simulators were undoubtedly the stars of the St. Moritz motorsport week for a number of reasons, including the spirit of innovation that swept across the Bernina Gran Turismo hillclimb race and allowed drivers to perform virtual practice sessions before sitting in the real competition cars, as well as the RM Sotheby’s auction, where the No. 1 eClassic Simulator from the “Leggenda” limited collector edition fetched 192.000 Swiss Francs, which equates to over 175,000 Euros. 

The buyer, a German collector, was won over not only by the beauty of Pininfarina’s design, but also by the experience of driving in the eClassic Paddock, set up exclusively for the race drivers at the Kempinski Hotel.

It is important to know that TCCT eClassic is much more than just owning a simulator. The simulator comes together with membership to The eClassic Club, a Community of collectors and enthusiasts connected in real time on a digital platform who wish to enjoy eDriving and eRacing together. The discovery of this new reality combined with the amazing realism of the driving experience took the drivers by storm during the paddock tests on Thursday and Friday. What’s more, the virtual route of the race produced times that were within seconds of the real ones. All in absolute safety.

The week in St. Moritz continues today and tomorrow with the qualifying rounds and the race with the collector cars, but the simulators, after their success at the auction, will still be an additional attraction in the Kempinski paddock.
