TCCT Virtual Garage 2022: spoilt for choice

The three collectors, one who’s careful with money, one who’s quite wealthy and one decidedly lucky, continued to buy cars for their collections at international auctions to be kept in our Virtual Garage.
Mr. Cautious, with purchases up to €100k, decided to bet on the 1981 Porsche 911SC, 2003 Ferrari 360 Spider and a 1967 Maserati Mistral while Mr. Sober who buys considerably more important cars, from €100k to €700k, opted for three bargains that appeared: the 1999 Renault-Williams Laguna BTCC, the 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SE 3.5 Cabriolet and the 1956 Alfa Romeo 1900C Super Sprint bodied by Ghia. Mr. Wealthy made three glorious leaps into the past: the 1937 Bugatti Type 57SC Atalante, the 1958 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider and the 1959 Maserati 3500 GT Spyder Prototype. He’ll have a hard time going unnoticed!
Finally, as per tradition, the editorial staff of TCCT chose one of the most interesting cars to come up for sale in recent auctions, from Indianapolis to Pebble Beach, passing through Switzerland, Germany and England; the car in question was the 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird, because while we’re here we might as well exaggerate.
How much did it cost us? More than €1.5 million, but this is an investment that will bear considerable fruits.
