The cars and the reasons why

How on earth do you go about picking the most important Ferraris dressed by Sergio Pininfarina over the course of more than half a century? It’s an impossible task, since they all deserve a mention. So, we decided to let ourselves be guided by our own tastes and sensations, bearing in mind that these are the tastes and sensations of people who knew Sergio extremely well:

So, in chronological order, here are our top 15 (we meant to stop at five, but had a job even keeping the list down to three times that number):

1957 250 GT Cabriolet. A harmonious blend of aggression and elegance

1959 250 GT Berlinetta Passo Corto. When balance denotes purity

1964 275 GTB. A shark

1967 Dino 206GT. The first step into the future

1968 365 GTB4 Daytona. The answer

1961 365 GT4 BB. The rear, well yes!

1977 308 GTS.  Sheer pleasure

1984 288 GTO. A wolf in sheep’s clothing

1984 Testarossa. Shameless

1987  F40. Simply fantastic

1992  456 GT. Back to the past

1995 F355 Spider.  An open-topped wonder

1999 360 Modena. Ready for the Millennium

2000  550 Barchetta Pininfarina. Plein soleil

2002 Enzo. Thank you, Enzo.

Thank you, Enzo and thank you, Sergio, Turin’s own master of Italian taste – taste that, recognized worldwide, gave shape to Ferrari: the ultimate symbol of sportiness.
