A world of magnificent yet painfully orphaned books

Elegant, refined, the image of an aristocratic and revered automobile, one would meet him in Corso Venezia, in one of Milan’s most beautiful buildings where, some 50 years ago, his adventure began as an expert and publisher of motoring and motor sport books. This is – tragically, even though it is painful to do so, we are now obliged to use was – Giorgio Nada. He was 77 years old, known, until a few days ago, for his friendly and unruffled voice even though he was firmly committed to his decisions and resolute when he wanted to propose, always at the right time, enchanting books that unearthed facts and anecdotes so that they would not be confined to memory. A memory of him that will remain, thanks to his son Stefano, but which unfortunately cannot be repeated. His passing is a painful loss for us at TCCT and we can only add that his Milan bookstore – which now also sells online – is a goldmine worth discovering. This is undoubtedly the best way to remember him.
