Keeping our distance, entering the highway one at a time to reduce the possibility of contact and other such rules, these rules were never conceived to avoid accidents and deaths in cars. Those who passionately work with cars like we do at TCCT, know that, to keep the roads safe, a lot of work has gone into each and every individual on the road: those who travel by car must wear seat belts, have a working airbag, must not exceed speed limits, must not use their phone while driving and so on. In a nutshell, everyone has a responsibility towards him or herself and for the others using the roads, with the risk of being fined or losing their driving licence if they ignore this simple concept.
If life is to return to normal – in the proper proportions – one cannot dream of limiting the use of public transport (in addition, creating contagious queues while waiting) or letting people enter the shops one at a time. This is not the right way. How about we let the car teach us a lesson or two? In compliance with a well-defined and well-applied program, if you want to leave your house, you have to wear a mask and gloves at all times, you can only use your phone with earphones so you don’t bring it close to your face, and you must wear protective glasses. In this way, you’re free to roam the streets once more without risks (or minimum risks, as unfortunately happens in cars too, where every now and then there is an accident, but this is not enough to ban driving). So, the world quickly returns to normal, or almost normal, and in the meantime, drugs and vaccines will arrive.
